Going to Germany?

South African passport holders do require a visa to enter Germany. The Embassy of Germany in South Africa may provide a range of consular services such as visa and passport processing as well as document legalization. For visiting the so-called “Schengen States” for a period up to 90 days, South African citizens have to obtain a visa category “Schengen”. Germany along with Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have all acceded to the Schengen Agreement and are thus “Schengen States”.
